Post-Op. Care Instructions

Take the prescribed medication three times a day (morning, afternoon, and evening) after meals for 5 days.

● Keep the tape applied to the incision area in place until the 3rd day after surgery.

● After removing the tape (on the 3rd day post-surgery) and until 7 days after the stitches are removed, apply antibiotic ointment to the wound area three times a day (morning, afternoon, and evening).

● On the 7th day after surgery, visit the clinic for sterilization and stitch removal.

● Scar ointment can be used starting 1 month after surgery.

Swelling varies from person to person, but significant swelling typically subsides over 1 to 2 months, with residual swelling continuing to decrease until about 6 months, at which point the final contour can be seen.

For 2 to 3 months after surgery, the tissues may feel firm and lumpy, which is a natural part of the healing process, and it will gradually soften after 3 months.

Massaging the hardened tissues and applying hot compresses can help alleviate the tightness. In the case of double chin liposuction, begin lifting your head and stretching your neck from the 7th day post-surgery.

● Day of Surgery to Day 3: Cold Compress

● Day 4 and Beyond: Hot Compress

When applying cold or hot compresses, there is a risk of frostbite or burns, so please wrap the pack in a towel before applying it to your skin.

The ice pack provided can be used for both cold and hot compresses.
For hot compresses, melt the ice pack first and then warm it by placing it in warm water.
Using a microwave is not recommended as it may cause the pack to burst.

Hot compresses help improve blood circulation, which aids in reducing swelling. Once the swelling has sufficiently subsided, you may stop using the hot compress.

On the 3rd day after surgery, you can remove the tape from the incision area and wash your face.

After washing, make sure to carefully dry the wound area and apply antibiotic ointment.

Shampooing and showering are allowed starting from the day after surgery.

You may start applying makeup one week after surgery.

1. For the first week after surgery, it is recommended to sleep with your head elevated above heart level.

2. Avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 1 month after surgery.

3. Light aerobic exercise can be resumed the day after surgery.

4. Exercise that causes sweating should be avoided until 1 month after surgery, as increased body temperature can interfere with wound healing.
