Post-Op. Care Instructions

Take the prescribed medication three times a day (morning, afternoon, and evening) after meals for 5 days.

● There are two vertical incisions near the front of the scalp.

● From the day of surgery until 7 days after the stitches are removed:

- Apply antibiotic ointment to the wound area three times a day (morning, afternoon, and evening).

● On the 7th day after surgery, visit the clinic for sterilization and stitch removal.

● Day of Surgery to Day 3: Cold Compress

● Day 4 and Beyond: Hot Compress

Due to gravity, the swelling from the surgery may move downward and cause puffiness around the eyes, so please apply a compress to the eye area.

When applying cold or hot compresses, there is a risk of frostbite or burns, so make sure to place gauze or a handkerchief between the compress and your skin to avoid direct contact.

The ice pack provided can be used for both cold and hot compresses.
For hot compresses, melt the ice pack first and then warm it by placing it in warm water.
Using a microwave is not recommended as it may cause the pack to burst.

Hot compresses help improve blood circulation, which aids in reducing swelling. Once the swelling has sufficiently subsided, you may stop using the hot compress.

You can wash your face, shower, and apply makeup starting from the day after surgery.

Shampooing is allowed starting from Day 3.

When shampooing, be careful not to rub the Endotine fixation points or suture areas too hard. After shampooing, make sure to thoroughly dry the wound area to prevent moisture, and apply antibiotic ointment.

Note: For the first 2 weeks, avoid bending forward while washing your hair. Instead, wash your hair standing up in the shower, tilting your head back.

● In the early stages after surgery, you may feel like your eyes are being pulled upwards, but this will gradually become more natural over time.

● Avoid lifting your eyebrows using your forehead muscles.

● You may feel the Endotine fixation points and experience some discomfort, but this is temporary and will improve gradually. Avoid touching the fixation points to prevent irritation.

● Temporary hair loss may occur at the incision sites, but the hair will regrow after 2-3 months, so there is no need to worry.

● For the first week after surgery, it is recommended to sleep with your head elevated above heart level.

● Avoid activities that increase blood pressure by applying pressure to the surgical area, as this can increase the risk of bleeding and hematoma.

● Examples include coughing, sneezing, vomiting, and bending over to wash your hair.

● Avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 1 month after surgery.
