Post-Op. Care Instructions

Take the prescribed medication three times a day (morning, afternoon, and evening) after meals for 5 days.

● After removing the hairline tape (on the 3rd day post-surgery) and until 7 days after the stitches are removed, apply antibiotic ointment to the wound area three times a day (morning, afternoon, and evening).

● On the 7th day after surgery, visit the clinic for sterilization and stitch removal.

● Scar ointment can be used starting 1 month after surgery.

● Day of Surgery to Day 3: Cold Compress

● Day 4 and Beyond: Hot Compress

Due to gravity, the swelling from the surgery may move downward and cause puffiness around the eyes, so please apply a compress to the eye area.

When applying cold or hot compresses, there is a risk of frostbite or burns, so make sure to place gauze or a handkerchief between the compress and your skin to avoid direct contact.

The ice pack provided can be used for both cold and hot compresses.
For hot compresses, melt the ice pack first and then warm it by placing it in warm water.
Using a microwave is not recommended as it may cause the pack to burst.

Hot compresses help improve blood circulation, which aids in reducing swelling. Once the swelling has sufficiently subsided, you may stop using the hot compress.

You can shower below the neck starting from the day after surgery,

but washing your face, shampooing your hair, and applying makeup should wait until Day 3.

(When applying makeup, avoid the wound area.)

When shampooing, be careful not to rub the Endotine fixation points or suture areas too hard. After shampooing, make sure to thoroughly dry the wound area to prevent moisture, and apply antibiotic ointment.

Note: For the first 2 weeks, avoid bending forward while washing your hair. Instead, wash your hair standing up in the shower, tilting your head back.

1. You may experience some numbness in the scalp, but it usually returns to normal within 2-3 months and continues to improve up to 6 months.

2. You may feel the Endotine fixation points in the scalp, and there might be some discomfort, but this is temporary and will gradually improve. Avoid touching the fixation points to prevent irritation.

3. For the first week after surgery, it is recommended to sleep with your head elevated above heart level.

4. Avoid activities that increase blood pressure by applying pressure to the surgical area, as this can increase the risk of bleeding and hematoma.

- Examples include coughing, sneezing, vomiting, and bending over to wash your hair.

5. Avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 1 month after surgery.
